PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zhang Chunqiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dusty Adamek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chunqiao comes into the arena with You Can't Be Friends With Everyone by MAKE OUT blaring out of the sound system. Zhang Chunqiao has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adamek throws a series of punches but Chunqiao moves out of range.
Adamek throws a head kick but Chunqiao moves out of range.

Chunqiao doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Adamek counters with a big head kick but Chunqiao shrugs it off.
Adamek fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Adamek will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chunqiao throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Adamek closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Adamek accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Adamek stands up over Chunqiao, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Adamek stands up over Chunqiao, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Chunqiao working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Adamek doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Adamek manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Adamek gets to his feet and stands over Chunqiao, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Chunqiao felt that one! Adamek unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Chunqiao from any more punishment!
