With a record of 11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nes Quick!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quick displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Adams throws out the jab.
Quick closes this distance looking for a takedown but Adams circles away.
Quick will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Adams slaps away a takedown attempt from Quick, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lawrance Adams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nes Quick.
Quick slips a jab and a cross from Adams.
Adams tries to bum rush Quick with a series of wild strikes but Quick uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Adams swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Quick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Quick throws a nice looking combination but Adams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Quick shoots in looking for a takedown but Adams manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Quick's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Adams will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Quick is trying desperately to land a takedown but Adams is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Quick.
Quick gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Quick shoots for a takedown but Adams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Adams drops Quick with a beautiful combination! Quick stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Adams is looking for the KO!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Adams has cracked Quick with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Adams lands another huge swinging hook and Quick tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Quick, before Adams can land any more shots!
