Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Belford Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takanori Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott's entrance music is Big Balls by AC/DC. A fine choice. Gomi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Scary. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Takanori Gomi!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gomi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gomi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Gomi avoids a kick to the body.
Gomi fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Scott throws a lazy uppercut
and Gomi counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Scott tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Gomi manages to move to mount!
Gomi raining down shots from the mount!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gomi lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Scott wants to control but Gomi is having none of it.
Gomi landing punches.
Gomi loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Scott scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Gomi land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Gomi stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takanori Gomi!
