Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dada Chisaraokwu!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Icarus Ritter!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ritter tries a head kick but it misses.
Chisaraokwu fails with a takedown attempt.
Chisaraokwu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Ritter enables Chisaraokwu to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ritter manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ritter wants to sweep but no luck.
Chisaraokwu wants to pass the guard but Ritter is keeping the position.
Ritter has his hands on Chisaraokwu's head, controlling the position.
Chisaraokwu postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Chisaraokwu trying to control but Ritter is working from the bottom.
Chisaraokwu missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ritter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chisaraokwu is one step ahead there.
Ritter managing to control the position.
Ritter is trying to control the position but Chisaraokwu postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ritter scores with a jab to the body.
Ritter lands a left and a right that send Chisaraokwu crashing to the mat, dazed. Ritter thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Dada Chisaraokwu has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ritter keeps the fight on the outside.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Ritter - that will leave a mark!
Chisaraokwu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dada Chisaraokwu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ritter fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Chisaraokwu is breathing heavily.
Chisaraokwu chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ritter can pounce on him.
Chisaraokwu takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Crack! A monster head kick from Ritter and Chisaraokwu falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Ritter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Icarus Ritter!
Icarus Ritter is the new super heavyweight champion!
After the fight, Icarus Ritter was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
