Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bentley Downer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bill Shadow!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downer looks to land a left hand but Shadow moved out of range nicely.
Bentley Downer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Downer wants to clinch but Shadow slips to the side
and Shadow counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Bentley Downer has been cut.
Downer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Downer wants it to stay on the feet.
Downer is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Downer misses with the combination.
Shadow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shadow.
Downer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Shadow paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Downer looks to score with a jab to the body but Shadow is just out of range.
Downer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Shadow counters with a single leg into guard. Downer didn't expect that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shadow wants to control from the top but Downer keeps moving.
Shadow distracts Downer with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shadow trying to control the position from guard on top but Downer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Shadow scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Shadow is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Downer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Downer has escaped and now he's on top!

Shadow is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Shadow has his foot on Downer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Downer works his way back into a safe position though.
Shadow bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Downer's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Shadow in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Downer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shadow is controlling him.
Shadow tries to free his leg and advance position but Downer is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A big left from Downer misses.
Shadow walks into a straight right hand from Downer.
Downer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shadow throws a nice looking combination but Downer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Shadow shoots for a takedown but Downer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Downer blocks a jab.
Shadow ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Downer moves away.
Downer throws a head kick that misses.
Shadow blocks a head kick by Downer.
The fight stays on the outside here - Downer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Shadow dives in and grabs Downer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Downer pushes down on Shadow's head and hops out.
Downer wants to clinch up but Shadow keeps it at a distance.
Downer gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Shadow.
Downer tries to clinch up but Shadow circles away and keeps his distance.
Shadow loads up on a big right hand but Downer slips the punch.

Downer moves into range and clinches up with Shadow.

Downer pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
Shadow takes an elbow to the forehead.
Downer throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Shadow blocks it with crossed arms.
A short left from Shadow.
Downer tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Shadow avoids it.
Downer throws an elbow but it misses.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Shadow.

Downer is rocked!
Shadow has Downer pressed against the ropes.
Oh Downer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Shadow breaks the clinch.

Downer gets tackled into the ropes by Shadow. Shadow maintains the clinch.
Shadow dips a shoulder and cracks Downer with a mighty uppercut! Downer falls back against the ropes and Shadow unloads with a barrage of strikes! Downer is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the ropes! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Shadow screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bill Shadow!
Bill Shadow was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
