Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 27 - 0, fighting out of New York, John White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Joe!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, John Kavanagh and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe misses with a body kick.
White slips under a jab from Joe.

White feints and as Joe raises his hands in defense, White changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
White chips away with some ground and pound.
White throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Joe works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
White stops Joe from standing up.

White gets to his feet. Joe looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Joe misses with a looping left.
Joe throws out a loose jab but White uses good head movement to avoid it.
Joe takes a swing at White's ribcage but misses.
Joe misses with a straight right.
White pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Joe back to the cage. White follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Joe cracks White with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
White fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Joe pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A decent looking cross lands there for White.

White drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
White won't allow Joe to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
White landing with the ground and pound.
White has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
White loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Joe is wriggling around but White manages to pass to half guard.
Joe is looking to escape.

White decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
A slow jab from Joe misses its intended target.
Joe throws a jab but it's blocked by White.

White closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Joe's guard.
White scoring with some ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Joe is looking to stand up but White isn't so interested in that idea.
Joe looks winded!
White is working Joe over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
White with a flurry of punches that miss.
White is looking to work some ground and pound but Joe has wrist control.
White postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Joe wants to stand up but White is controlling him.

White is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
White advances position into side control!
White advances to mount.
White lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Joe's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Joe is bucking up trying to escape but White cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
White lands a big elbow.
Joe tries to buck White off but he can't manage it.
White lands a heavy elbow.


Joe is rocked!
White lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Joe! White sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Joe and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). John White!
