Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Klaus Saenger!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saenger scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Saenger wants to work for an arm triangle but Carlin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Saenger is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Carlin!
Carlin is in a horrible position here. Saenger smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Saenger jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Carlin manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saenger happy to just control the position for now.
Carlin is looking for a sweep.

Saenger tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Saenger wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carlin, who protects the arm well.

Saenger cracks Carlin with a big right hand but Carlin just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Saenger scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Carlin to see if he's OK.
Carlin is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Saenger is putting a hurting on Carlin here, landing some big shots from side control.

Saenger is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Carlin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Saenger wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carlin, who protects the arm well.

Saenger cracks Carlin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Carlin takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Carlin is bucking up trying to escape but Saenger cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Saenger with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Carlin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Saenger on the ground.
Saenger looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Saenger has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Carlin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Carlin throws a quick head kick that knocks Saenger silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Carlin is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). George Carlin!
