Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giovanni Fatale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fatale has chosen Remember My Name as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fatale scores with a one two! Meridius had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Meridius on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Fatale. Fatale obviously looking to wear him down.

Fatale closes the distance and clinches.
Fatale pushes off an throws an elbow but Meridius leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Fatale lands an elbow just above Meridius 's eye.
Meridius wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fatale has him pressed against the cage.
Fatale misses with an elbow over the top.
Fatale lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Maximus Meridius has been cut.
Fatale digs a right hand into Meridius's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Meridius's gas tank.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fatale is looking to control Meridius's arms but Meridius gets an underhook and turns him. Now Fatale has his back to the cage.

Meridius tries to break free but Fatale pushes him back against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Fatale as Meridius tries to tie him up.
The referee is keeping an eye on Meridius - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Fatale lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Meridius breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fatale tries to clinch but Meridius moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Meridius.
Fatale circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Meridius to the canvas! Meridius doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Fatale keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
