The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards misses with a takedown attempt - Hard sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Richards shoots in for a takedown but Hard shows good takedown defense.
Hard tries to clinch there but Richards circles away.
Hard tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Richards paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Richards shoots for a double leg takedown but Hard sprawls well. He's pushed Richards's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Reed Richards. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hard lands the left hand.
Reed Richards seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hard is looking to clinch.
Richards shoots in but Hard avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hard.
Hard leaves Richards with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Hard counters with a crisp right hand that drops Richards! Hard lets Richards back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

This has been an exciting period of action!
A head kick by Hard - that's a beauty! Richards is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Hard can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Samuel Hard spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
