The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingston tries for a takedown but Fitch circles away easily

and Fitch decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kingston's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Fitch missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Fitch slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Fitch is looking to work some ground and pound but Kingston has wrist control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fitch got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kingston has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fitch has managed to get both his arms back between Kingston's legs - danger averted.

Fitch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kingston is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fitch is in close to Kingston's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fitch postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Kingston is still in real trouble! Can Fitch finish him?

Fitch drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Fitch seems to have locked his on tight now - Kingston screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Fitch, as he picks up the win!
