The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ives stuffs the takedown attempt from Allen. Allen gets slowly back to his feet.
Allen scores with a nice right hand.

It looks like Russell Ives has been cut.

Ives darts in and clinches Allen up against the cage.

Ives breaks from the clinch.
A big right from Allen misses.
Ives shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Allen as he jumps to the side.

Ives fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Allen, pushing him back against the cage.
Allen digs a right hand into Ives's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ives's gas tank.
Ives is working for takedown but Allen is calmly controlling the position for now.
Allen lands with a left to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ives is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Allen blocking some punches.
Allen digs a right hand underneath Ives's ribcage. Ives let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Ives cracks Allen with a nice body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Allen lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Allen lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ives blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Allen looking for a takedown.

Ives decides to pull guard.

Ives is looking to cinch up a triangle. Allen throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Ives's body to avoid the submission. Ives has instead reached around Allen's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Ives arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
