The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medway drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Medway passes to full mount! That's big trouble for McCafferty!
Medway can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McCafferty is looking to escape.
McCafferty is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Medway get's back to his feet.
McCafferty tries to clinch up.
Medway will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
McCafferty lands with a nice combination. Medway backs away looking to recover.
Medway tries for a takedown but McCafferty sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Medway shoots in looking for a takedown. McCafferty tries to sprawl out of it but Medway keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McCafferty manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tommy McCafferty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Medway.
McCafferty scores with a crisp jab that stopped Medway in his tracks.
McCafferty shoots in but Medway avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Medway shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
McCafferty trying to keep a closed guard but Medway is proving a slippery customer.
Medway drops back, looking for a kneebar! McCafferty looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McCafferty looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McCafferty!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Medway looks gassed!
Medway tries to buck McCafferty off but McCafferty is having none of it.
McCafferty tries for a kimura but Medway is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Medway can't do much from the bottom here.

Medway is trying to escape the position but McCafferty is controlling the position.
McCafferty has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Medway is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. McCafferty yanks on the arm and Medway is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by McCafferty.
