The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordoba lands a body shot.
Cordoba misses with a low kick.
Cordoba swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cordoba takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

McFatty gets caught flat footed, as Cordoba shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cordoba advances to half guard.
Cordoba wants to advance to full mount but McFatty doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Cordoba wants to control from the top but McFatty keeps moving.
McFatty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cordoba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cordoba stops McFatty from standing up.

Cordoba drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cordoba jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
McFatty is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Cordoba is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
McFatty throws a couple of heel strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McFatty lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Cordoba can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from McFatty and Cordoba drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by McFatty.
