Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rene Toni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JunJun Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). JunJun Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rene Toni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, JunJun Jones!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toni rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Toni throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Toni looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jones lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Toni has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Toni and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Toni, pushing him back against the cage.

Toni misses with a jab, cross combination.
Toni will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Toni looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.
Toni fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

No joy there for Toni, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Jones goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Jones counters with a low kick, right behind Toni 's knee.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jones showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Toni defends it well.
Jones is nestled in close to Toni, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jones is taking a breather. Toni says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Toni is trying to escape back to his feet but Jones uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Toni tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Toni parries the strikes from Jones easily there. Jones is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Toni to escape.

Jones throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Toni takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Toni tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
JunJun Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup.
No joy there for Toni, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Toni thows a left - swing and a miss!
Toni takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Jones counters with a solid body kick.
Toni shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jones throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Toni tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jones is in Toni's guard.
Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

JunJun Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Jones works Toni's body with a nice hook.
Toni tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Toni somewhat.

Jones seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Toni is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Jones stands up and beckons Toni to join him on the feet.

JunJun Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
