PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CJ Jinks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Quick might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rock You Like A Hurricane. Jinks comes into a darkened arena with his song building. suicide machines kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! CJ Jinks told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jinks shoots in for a double leg but Quick sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Quick throws a right hand that Jinks ducks under and follows up with a left that Jinks also avoids with ease.
Quick explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Quick throws a series of punches but Jinks avoids them all with ease.
Quick avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Quick's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Quick duly obliges.

Quick gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jinks has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Quick is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Quick is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jinks can't fight it off and eventually Quick manages to take the fight to the floor. Jinks looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
