With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jesse Bashor!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bashor closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wilson to the mat! Wilson manages to get full guard.

Bashor is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wilson has escaped the position, nice work there.
Bashor has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bashor wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wilson, who protects the arm well.

Bashor is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wilson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bashor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wilson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bashor asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Bashor tries to advance to mount but can't.
Bashor with the ground and pound but Wilson regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

Bashor wants to work for an arm triangle but Wilson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bashor is controlling the pace.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bashor in particular looking to stall.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bashor is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Bashor is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Wilson is forced to tap! Great finish!
