Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Angel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Freedom Will Commence. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Angel!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Alex Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A chopping leg kick lands by Jones.
Jones misses with a low kick.
Angel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jones counters with a leg kick.
Angel shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Angel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Angel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
Alex Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Angel.
Angel tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it.

Angel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Angel dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Angel's head and hops out.

Angel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jones lands with a kick to the temple. Angel shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Angel feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jones's calf.
Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Angel fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jones checks it well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones tries to land a front kick but Angel steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Jones takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Angel on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jones. Jones obviously looking to wear him down.

Jones gets caught napping as Angel dives in and scores a takedown. Jones manages to retain guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Angel tries to stand but Jones is controlling from the bottom.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Frank Angel hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Angel dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Angel's head and hops out.
Angel takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
