PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Radajev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaa Aaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Radajev has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Jordan Radajev looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jordan Radajev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Aaa Aaa!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aaa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Radajev paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Radajev looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Radajev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aaa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Radajev somewhat.
Aaa throws a looping overhand right but Radajev ducks down to avoid it.
Aaa misses with a body shot.
Aaa pivots, looking for a leg kick but Radajev is out of range and Aaa settles back down.
Aaa moves in looking to clinch but Radajev pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Aaa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Aaa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Radajev moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Aaa shoots in looking for a takedown but Radajev manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Aaa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Aaa wants to clinch up but Radajev keeps it at a distance.

Radajev closes the distance and clinches.
Aaa stalling in the clinch but Radajev improves position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Aaa can't find room to land a body shot as Radajev controls the action.
Aaa is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Radajev can't get the takedown.
Aaa is trying to pull guard but Radajev has him pressed against the cage.
Radajev gets underhooks to prevent Aaa's takedown attempt.
Jordan Radajev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaa Aaa.
Aaa jumps guard but Radajev turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Aaa is looking to break free of the clinch but Radajev has double underhooks.
Aaa wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Aaa tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Aaa is trying to drag Radajev to the mat but Radajev just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Radajev blocking some punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Aaa is looking to take this one to the mat.
Aaa wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Radajev has him pressed against the cage.
Radajev tries to score a body lock takedown but Aaa shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Aaa is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Aaa has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Aaa jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Radajev walks away with a smile on his face. Aaa gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Radajev blocks the body kick.
Aaa is trying hard to land a takedown here. Radajev sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Aaa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Aaa tries to clinch
and Radajev counters with a nice body shot.
Aaa shoots and misses
and Radajev makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Radajev looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Radajev chips away with some ground and pound.
Aaa has momentary wrist control but Radajev slips an elbow through the middle.
Aaa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Radajev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Radajev content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Radajev is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Radajev drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Radajev jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Radajev is in close to Aaa's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Aaa thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Radajev postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Aaa is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Radajev, into his guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Radajev pulls Aaa in close to prevent any damage.

Radajev pushes Aaa off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Radajev shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Aaa napping and manages to drive through into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jordan Radajev dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Aaa misses with a combination

so Radajev counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Aaa has his foot on Radajev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Radajev works his way back into a safe position though.
Radajev is looking to work some ground and pound but Aaa has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aaa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Radajev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Radajev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Aaa is looking for a triangle but Radajev pushes his legs off easily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Radajev's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jordan Radajev overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Aaa trying to keep a closed guard but Radajev is proving a slippery customer.

Radajev is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Radajev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Radajev landing some decent shots from guard.
Aaa looking to control.
Radajev postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Radajev distracts Aaa with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Radajev with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Aaa is looking for a triangle here but Radajev uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Radajev is working to tighten is grip on Aaa's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Aaa has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Radajev is really squeezing tight and eventually Aaa passes out! Radajev breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jordan Radajev!
