The crowd seem to be enjoying Gracie's choice of entrance music: r this town i 101. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ali was covering up waiting for the punch and Gracie finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Ali utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gracie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Asshole Gracie hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Asshole Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ali dives in and scores a takedown into Gracie's guard.
Gracie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gracie holds on and takes a little breather.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ali defends it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Gracie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Asshole Gracie decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
