The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fritzjimmins stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Cat gets the takedown into side control.
Cat wants to control but Fritzjimmins is keeping him busy.

Cat is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fritzjimmins has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fritzjimmins tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Cat looks up at the clock and then as Fritzjimmins takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cat smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The ground and pound from Cat seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Fritzjimmins is looking to regain half guard here but Cat keeps moving and retains side control.
Cat lands a few punches from side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cat is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fritzjimmins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Fritzjimmins tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cat wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
