Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dominic Sterrey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Calvin Tate!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sterrey looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sterrey wants to free his trapped foot but Tate is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Sterrey prevents Tate from improving his position.
Sterrey is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Tate trying to hold on to Sterrey's head to control him but Sterrey postures up.
Sterrey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tate's head.
Sterrey is nestled in close to Tate, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sterrey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tate won't allow Sterrey to pass to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sterrey is trying to work for a kimura but Tate is defending well.

Sterrey wants to pass the guard but Tate is keeping the position.

Sterrey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Tate on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

That's time! Sterrey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Dominic Sterrey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Tate wants to control from the top but Sterrey keeps moving.

Sterrey lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tate!

Sterrey in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.


Tate is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sterrey lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Tate! Sterrey sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Tate and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dominic Sterrey!
Dominic Sterrey spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
