Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bonnie Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Powl Rieger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Powl Rieger is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bonnie Tyler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Powl Rieger!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rieger tries for a takedown but Tyler sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rieger misses with a takedown attempt - Tyler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tyler shoots in and drives through. Rieger sprawls well.
Tyler shoots in but no luck this time.
Tyler fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bonnie Tyler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rieger defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tyler.
Rieger shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tyler pinned against the cage. Tyler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Tyler shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rieger sprawls well. Rieger wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tyler gets slowly back to his feet.
Tyler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rieger is fending him off so far but Tyler persists. Nope, Rieger circles away and we're back to standing.

Rieger moves into the clinch.
Tyler tries to pull guard but Rieger forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Tyler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tyler is looking to clinch but Rieger is avoiding it.
Tyler is breathing heavily.
Tyler gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Rieger's corner calls for a 1-2. Rieger obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Rieger shoots in and drives through. Tyler sprawls well.
Rieger slaps away a takedown attempt from Tyler, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tyler tries for a takedown but Rieger sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rieger closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tyler circles away.
Rieger lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rieger lands a shot to the body.

Rieger pushes Tyler off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Rieger darts in and clinches Tyler up against the cage.

Rieger decides to pull guard.
Rieger pulls Tyler in to control the position.
Tyler trying to control the position from guard on top but Rieger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rieger manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tyler manages to get himself to full guard.

Rieger makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Rieger controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Rieger throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Rieger passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Rieger creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Tyler sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Tyler might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Rieger controls the position.
Tyler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rieger on the ground.

Rieger tries for a kimura but Tyler is defending well.
Tyler could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Rieger stands up and beckons Tyler to his feet.
Rieger fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tyler shoots for a double leg takedown but Rieger sprawls well. He's pushed Tyler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Rieger clinches.
Rieger wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tyler has him pressed against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tyler tries to break free but Rieger pushes him back against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rieger wants a takedown but no success here.
Rieger wants to break the clinch but can't.

Rieger ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rieger no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Tyler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rieger avoids it really well and circles away.
Tyler tries a head kick but it misses.
Tyler wants to clinch but Rieger slips to the side

and Rieger moves into the clinch.
Rieger is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Rieger wants a takedown.
Tyler is trying to force a seperation but Rieger has the dominant position.
Rieger is trying to break the clinch but Tyler is controlling him.
Rieger lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tyler backwards.

Rieger gets control of Tyler's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rieger will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Rieger controls Tyler momentarily but Tyler frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rieger looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Tyler landing with the ground and pound.
Rieger avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Powl Rieger has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Tyler tries to clinch up but Rieger circles away and keeps his distance.
Tyler looks to clinch
and Tyler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rieger circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bonnie Tyler is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tyler looks for a takedown but Rieger sprawls well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tyler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rieger paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rieger throws a shot to the body.
Horrible takedown by Tyler or perhaps it was just good defense by Rieger which made him look bad.

It looks like Bonnie Tyler has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tyler takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Rieger looks for a takedown but Tyler sprawls well.

Tyler tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rieger smiles and moves away.
Rieger looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tyler is fending him off so far but Rieger persists. Nope, Tyler circles away and we're back to standing.

Rieger manages to pull guard.
Tyler trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Rieger uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Tyler slaps away a takedown attempt from Rieger, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rieger is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Tyler fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Tyler gets tackled into the cage by Rieger. Rieger maintains the clinch.
Tyler is trying to break free.
Tyler jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rieger walks away with a smile on his face. Tyler gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rieger misses with a takedown attempt - Tyler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Powl Rieger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Tyler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rieger swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Tyler is trying to break free.
Tyler is trying to pull guard but Rieger turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Rieger tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Tyler avoids it.
Rieger is trying to force a seperation but Tyler has the dominant position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tyler jumps guard but Rieger turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Tyler postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rieger is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tyler, into his guard.

Rieger gets to his feet - Tyler follows without any prompting.
Horrible takedown by Rieger or perhaps it was just good defense by Tyler which made him look bad.
Tyler tries to close the distance and clinch but Rieger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rieger shoots in but Tyler avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tyler.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Tyler. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Rieger misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Rieger pushes Tyler up against the cage in a clinch.

Tyler tries to circle away but Rieger has him pinned against the cage.
Tyler avoiding damage as Rieger throws knees to the body.
Tyler tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rieger just stands there and leans against the cage.
Tyler blocks an elbow strike.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rieger takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Rieger jumps into guard, dragging Tyler to the mat.
Powl Rieger has got the better of the ground game so far.
Tyler wants to stand and escape but instead Rieger has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Rieger stays in close to Tyler's body and controls the position.
Rieger forces his way into half guard.

Rieger throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Rieger is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tyler is just riding it out for now. Rieger eventually gives up the hold.
Rieger stops Tyler from getting back to his feet.
Rieger perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Rieger thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Rieger prevents Tyler from standing back up.
Rieger stalling.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tyler is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Tyler on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tyler tries to get out of the position.
Rieger controlling his opponent.
Bonnie Tyler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tyler is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rieger is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tyler can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well Rieger has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
