Pamplona kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is My Way. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Smith counters with a takedown into side control.
Pamplona is looking to regain half guard here but Smith keeps moving and retains side control.
Pamplona sneaks back into half guard.

Smith looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pamplona with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Pamplona is looking to get back to full guard here but Smith has managed to pass to side control instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pamplona wants to hold on but Smith pushes him away.
The referee warns Pamplona that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Pamplona is rocked!
Pamplona on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pamplona tries to get out of the position.
Smith loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Pamplona scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Smith land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Smith stands and salutes the crowd.
