Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Falcone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Lilja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falcone comes to the cage accompanied by BLACK HAWK DOWN. David Lilja is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falcone looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lilja is fending him off so far but Falcone persists. Nope, Lilja circles away and we're back to standing.
Falcone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Falcone fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lilja, pushing him back against the cage.

Falcone is pushing down on Lilja's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lilja is fighting to maintain full guard but Falcone has managed to sneak the leg through.

Lilja is looking for a triangle but Falcone pushes his legs off easily.

Falcone is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lilja holds on and takes a little breather.

Lilja lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Falcone!

Falcone is desperately trying to improve his position but Lilja has a good base and remains in mount.

Lilja jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Falcone manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Falcone is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lilja accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Falcone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lilja can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lilja drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lilja jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Falcone wants to sweep here but Lilja controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lilja looks for a takedown but Falcone sprawls well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
