The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Benn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Benn fails to land the takedown.
Silva stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aj Benn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Benn throws a lazy body kick
and Silva counters with a two punch combo.
Benn closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Benn pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Horrible takedown by Benn or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

Benn decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Silva is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Benn has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! Silva is tapping! This fight is all over!
