The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Kenta.

Silver shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kenta but Kenta pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Silver seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kenta for as long as he can get away with.
Silver tries to stand and escape but Kenta is controlling the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Silver closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kenta circles away.

Silver darts in and clinches Kenta up against the cage.

Kenta stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silver swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Silver throws a front kick that sends Kenta stumbling back into the cage.
Akio Kenta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kenta keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Silver counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Silver tightens his grip and picks Kenta up, before dumping him to the ground. Kenta manages to land in guard.

Kenta has his foot on Silver's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silver works his way back into a safe position though.
