Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dallas Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabiano Contreiras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Contreiras has chosen Whiskey in the jar as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Contreiras napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Contreiras is pushing Riley's head away, looking to escape. Riley manages to hold on to the position though.
Riley working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Riley is looking to take a break and control but Contreiras is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Riley tries to score with some ground and pound. Contreiras controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Contreiras tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Riley is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Contreiras staying busy and making it hard for Riley to control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
What can Contreiras do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

and Contreiras counters with a series of strikes. Riley will be more careful next time no doubt.

Contreiras feints and as Riley raises his hands in defense, Contreiras changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Contreiras is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Oh Riley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dallas Riley has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Contreiras turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Contreiras tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Riley was well out of range. Poor timing from Contreiras.

and Contreiras counters with a stiff right hand.
Riley ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Contreiras leaves Riley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Riley throws a front kick aimed at Contreiras's knee but Contreiras avoids it well.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Contreiras, right into the meat.
Contreiras misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dallas Riley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Contreiras gets caught flat footed, as Riley shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Dallas Riley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Riley wants to pass the guard but Contreiras is keeping the position.
Contreiras pushes Riley off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Riley shoots for a double leg takedown but Contreiras sprawls well. He's pushed Riley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Contreiras leaves Riley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Let's hope that Contreiras has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Riley is pressing down on Contreiras's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Fabiano Contreiras showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Nice uppercut lands for Contreiras. That snapped Riley's head back.

and Contreiras counters with a head kick that wobbles Riley - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Contreiras sends him down. This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Fabiano Contreiras thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
