And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samick Behringer!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Behringer scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

and Pettis counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Behringer!

Pettis goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Behringer has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pettis but great work by Behringer.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pettis is looking for a sweep.
Behringer controls the position.

Behringer tries for a kimura but Pettis is defending well.
Behringer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Pettis tries to buck Behringer off but Behringer is having none of it.
Behringer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pettis keeps working.
Behringer in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Behringer is looking to take a break and control but Pettis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Samick Behringer has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Behringer keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Behringer slaps away a takedown attempt from Pettis, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Behringer counters with a crisp right hand that drops Pettis! Behringer lets Pettis back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Behringer sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Pettis's defenses. It connects perfectly with Pettis's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
