Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Messer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luboslav Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Messer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Luboslav Petrov!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Petrov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Petrov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Messer, pushing him back against the cage.

Petrov turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Petrov creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Messer sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Messer is trying to control Petrov's posture but Petrov avoids it.
Petrov lands an elbow.
Petrov postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Messer can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Petrov goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Messer has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Petrov but great work by Messer.
Petrov is trying to control Messer's posture but Messer avoids it.

Messer swings around for an armbar but Petrov sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Messer's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Messer is looking for a triangle here but Petrov uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Petrov tries to advance to mount but Messer denies him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Petrov has closed the distance and engaged Messer in a clinch.

Petrov looks up at the clock and then as Messer takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Petrov smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Petrov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Petrov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Messer keeps working.

Messer takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Messer wants to control but Petrov postures up.
Petrov lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Messer down.
Petrov just content to control the position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Petrov tries to close the distance and clinch but Messer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Messer shoots in looking for a takedown. Petrov tries to sprawl out of it but Messer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Petrov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Messer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Petrov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Petrov lands in his opponent's guard.

Messer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Petrov thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Petrov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Messer defends well.

Petrov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Petrov postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Messer badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Petrov around the waist but Petrov pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Petrov is the winner by TKO! Petrov jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
