The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garvey Huey looks to score with a jab to the body but Nohara is just out of range.
Nohara misses the jab.

enabling Nohara to counter with a crisp jab.

Garvey Huey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nohara's guard.
Nohara has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Nohara lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Garvey Huey at a distance.
Hiro Nohara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nohara gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Garvey Huey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nohara avoids it really well and circles away.

Garvey Huey sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nohara's guard.
Garvey Huey is taking a breather. Nohara says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Garvey Huey frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hiro Nohara dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nohara lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Nohara cracks Garvey Huey with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
