Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ty Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Angle comes into the arena with 2pac-Tupac All Eyez On Me blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angle stuffs the takedown attempt from Garcia. Garcia gets slowly back to his feet.
Angle goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Garcia closes the distance and clinches up with Angle, looking for a takedown. Garcia pushes Angle against the cage but Angle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Angle. Those never looked like landing.
Angle throws a front kick aimed at Garcia's knee but Garcia avoids it well.
Garcia looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ty Angle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcelo Garcia.
Angle leaves Garcia with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Garcia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Angle sprawls well. Angle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Garcia gets slowly back to his feet.

and Angle counters with a crisp one two that drops Garcia! Angle thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Garcia to his feet! Garcia is in big trouble!

Garcia is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Angle drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Garcia's head, knocking him out cold! Angle is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ty Angle!
