Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steven Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claudiu Sinescu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Smith moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Claudiu Sinescu has been cut.
Sinescu throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Sinescu lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sinescu throws the kick towards the body but Smith avoids it.

Smith clinches up with Sinescu and pushes him back against the cage.

Smith's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Smith has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
