Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Utter Bum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Indiana Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Utter Bum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Indiana Jones!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bum paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bum.

Bum closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jones is looking to escape.
Well, if Bum is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

We're going to have a standup here because Utter Bum wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Jones is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bum.

It looks like Indiana Jones has been cut.

Bum closes the distance and clinches.
Jones prevents the takedown attempt.

Bum escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Bum sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jones is trying to break free.

Bum gets control of Jones's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bum will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Bum gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bum seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Jones is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

We're going to have a standup here because Utter Bum wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jones prevents the takedown attempt.

Bum lands an elbow that stopped Jones in his tracks for a moment.

Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Bum seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Bum is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Bum, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Bum against the cage but Bum circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jones tries to bench press Bum off him but Bum keeps the position.
Bum is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jones will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Jones is trying to control Bum's posture but Bum avoids it.

Bum stands up and beckons Jones to his feet.
Jones dives in and grabs Bum's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bum pushes down on Jones's head and hops out.
Jones is breathing heavily.

Bum closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.
Bum would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bum is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Jones has his foot on Bum's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bum works his way back into a safe position though.

Jones lands a big shot there that rocks Bum but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

It looks like Jones is going to stand back up.

Well Bum has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
