Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roy Bull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and M J Shain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bull comes to the cage accompanied by Black Label Society - Fire It Up. Shain has chosen Thunderstruck as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 32 - 4, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roy Bull!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 21 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, M J Shain!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shain staying out of range there.
Bull throws a head kick that misses.
Bull tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shain was well out of range. Poor timing from Bull.
Shain doesn't manage to clinch there - Bull circles away.
Shain misses with a wild body shot.
Shain scores with a three punch combo!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bull, as that shot connected.
Bull misses the shot to the body.

Shain gets caught napping as Bull dives in and scores a takedown. Shain manages to retain guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Bull works over Shain with some ground and pound from guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bull postures up and lands a big shot to Shain's brow.

Shain had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bull defends it easily.
Bull postures up in Shain's guard and throws a big left but Shain blocks it.

Shain has his foot on Bull's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bull works his way back into a safe position though.

Bull keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shain's head.

Bull wants to free his trapped foot but Shain is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Shain is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bull pulls his head out easily.

Bull thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shain's head.

Shain has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bull can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shain bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bull's guard.
Bull wants to sweep but no luck.

Shain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bull swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bull escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shain gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bull is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shain has hold of Bull's hands but Bull slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Bull has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bull working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bull here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Shain clobbers Bull with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Bull goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Bull shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Shain connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Bull takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
