Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Flint IronStag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mina Princess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

IronStag closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Princess quickly recovers to half guard.
Princess has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. IronStag is working away from the top position though.

IronStag is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with IronStag in particular looking to stall.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. IronStag connects with a nice short shot to Princess's temple.

IronStag is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Princess will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

IronStag remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

IronStag drops back looking for a leg! Princess is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Princess manages to kick IronStag off! IronStag jumps back into Princess's guard.
IronStag slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Princess bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in IronStag's guard.

IronStag escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Princess gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

IronStag throws his legs up looking for a submission but Princess uses it to pass to side control.
IronStag is not content to let Princess control the position.
IronStag isn't going anywhere.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
IronStag's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Princess misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Princess throwing strikes but IronStag manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
IronStag seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

After the fight, Flint IronStag was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
