Joaquin takes the fight into the clinch.

Akesson is trying to get back to half guard.
Joaquin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Akesson keeps trying to improve his position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Joaquin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Joaquin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Akesson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Akesson wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Joaquin has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Akesson's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Akesson is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Joaquin!
