PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damien Thorne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Random Task (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Random Task told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Task ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thorne moves away.
Thorne scores with a sloppy right hand. Task should have avoided that one.
Thorne with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Task to score with a decent uppercut.
Thorne takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Task keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Thorne has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Task manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Task lands a right hand that snaps the head of Thorne backwards.

Thorne tries to clinch up but Task circles away and keeps his distance.
Thorne fails with a takedown attempt.
Task is looking to slow Thorne down with leg kicks.
Random Task is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

It looks like Damien Thorne has been cut.
Task has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Thorne finds it's way round the side to connect with Task's head.

Task sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Thorne to the ground! Task dives into full mount looking to finish!

Thorne wants to get back to his feet.

Thorne pushes Task off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Task lands with a cross.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Task blocks a head kick by Thorne.
Thorne walks straight into a right hand from Task - that's dropped him! Task jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Thorne from any more punishment! Thorne complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
