The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abelardo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lee.
Lee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Abelardo defends it nicely.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Abelardo as he avoids it easily.
Ramon Abelardo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ming Lee.
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown. Abelardo tries to sprawl out of it but Lee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Abelardo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Abelardo - that will leave a mark!

and Abelardo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Lee looks winded!

Abelardo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Crunch! Abelardo slams his shin into Lee's torso.
Abelardo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lee.
A solid leg kick lands there for Abelardo.
Abelardo fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Lee sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
An inside leg kick lands from Abelardo.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Abelardo scores with a kick to the midsection.
Lee takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lee is trying desperately to land a takedown but Abelardo is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Lee.
Lee doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Abelardo counters with a huge left! Lee is in big trouble! He's backing up but Abelardo isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Lee from any more damage. A dominating finish by Abelardo!
