The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack closes the distance and clinches up with Gallow, looking for a takedown. Jack pushes Gallow against the cage but Gallow circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jack misses with a takedown attempt - Gallow sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Gallow looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jack has hold of Gallow's hands but Gallow slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jack is looking to improve his position.

Gallow is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Jack is hurt! He's hurt bad - Gallow fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Jack from any more punishment! Congratulations to Gallow! Great finish!
