Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Malaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nebojsa Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Malaya might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Run. Pablo Malaya could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Nebojsa Lopez's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nebojsa Lopez!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lopez clinches up with Malaya and pushes him back against the cage.

Lopez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lopez moves in looking to clinch but Malaya pushes him off.
Lopez tries to clinch but Malaya moves out of range.

Lopez has closed the distance and engaged Malaya in a clinch.
Lopez wants a takedown.

Lopez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lopez scores with a hook to the body. Malaya takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Lopez forces Malaya back against the cage and clinches.
Malaya has Lopez pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lopez manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Malaya gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Malaya wants to take a breather but Lopez is having none of it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lopez slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Malaya changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lopez fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Lopez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Malaya is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lopez pulls him back up using the underhooks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lopez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Malaya doesn't seem bothered though.
Malaya is breathing heavily.
Malaya takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Malaya needs to keep his hands up - Lopez had a free shot at his head there.
Lopez misses with a head kick.
Lopez tests Malaya's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lopez is defended easily by Malaya.
Lopez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Malaya avoids the head kick by Lopez.
Lopez throws a head kick but Malaya moves out of range.

Lopez drags the fight down to the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lopez is pressed up against the cage. Malaya has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lopez down to the mat. Lopez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Malaya is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Nebojsa Lopez.
Lopez shoots in and drives through. Malaya sprawls well.
Pablo Malaya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nebojsa Lopez.

Lopez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lopez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Malaya's head backwards.

Nebojsa Lopez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Lopez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Malaya's hands.
Malaya looks for a takedown but Lopez sprawls well.

Lopez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Malaya can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Malaya is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lopez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lopez has escaped and now he's on top!
Malaya throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Lopez stands and throws Malaya's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Malaya is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lopez has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Malaya prevents Lopez from moving into mount.

Lopez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lopez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lopez decides to stand back up.
Pablo Malaya has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nebojsa Lopez is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A decent looking cross lands there for Lopez.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nebojsa Lopez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lopez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
