Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Pimenta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spiderman Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pimenta kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Jiu Jitsu-Apaga Mas Não Bate. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pimenta tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pimenta shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
Silva moves to clinch but Pimenta breaks away
and Pimenta counters with an inside leg kick.
Pimenta fails with a takedown attempt.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pimenta swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pimenta misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo Pimenta. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva tries to clinch but Pimenta moves out of range.

Pimenta tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.

Pimenta has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Silva uses from the top position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Pimenta working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.

Pimenta wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Pimenta keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully.
Pimenta will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Silva has gone for a leg lock! Pimenta slips out almost immediately though and dives into Silva's guard.
Pimenta controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Pimenta is standing up over Silva. Silva looks to escape but Pimenta dives into side control.
Pimenta passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Silva!

Pimenta wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely.
Pimenta lands a big shot there that rocks Silva but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Pimenta working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Silva turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Pimenta off and cradles Silva's limp body as Pimenta celebrates with his corner.
