The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fabiano will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Madrov scores with a nice strike.

Fabiano drops back looking for a leg! Madrov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Madrov manages to kick Fabiano off! Fabiano jumps back into Madrov's guard.
Madrov is pulling down on Fabiano's head. It's preventing any offense from Fabiano, at least for the moment.
Let's hope that Madrov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Madrov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fabiano jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Madrov manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Fabiano is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Madrov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Fabiano tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fabiano is breathing heavily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Madrov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fabiano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Madrov is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Fabiano is staying active.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Pietr Madrov will probably get the nod.
That's time! Fabiano's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Madrov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Madrov throws a lazy right hand but Fabiano sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Madrov throws a good cross that connects.
Good work by Fabiano as he checks the leg kick.
Fabiano tries for a takedown but Madrov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Madrov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Madrov scores with a shot to the body.
Madrov lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Luiz Fabiano has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Madrov drops Fabiano with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Fabiano looks back up at him and smiles so Madrov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Fabiano is rocked!
Madrov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Oh Fabiano is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Madrov punishes Fabiano's body with a nice straight punch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Madrov darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Fabiano's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Madrov before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pietr Madrov!
A relieved looking Pietr Madrov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
