Murphy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Pat murphy of the Irish Brigade. Seth Maverick had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maverick clinches up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Murphy's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Maverick is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Murphy gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Maverick keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Murphy's efforts to push away.

Maverick turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Maverick scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Murphy to see if he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Murphy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Murphy sneaks out the side door and pushes Maverick away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Oooooh!!! Murphy has knocked Maverick down with a huge combo! Murphy steps away and waves a wobbly Maverick back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Maverick is rocked!

It looks like Seth Maverick has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A combination from Murphy does no damage.
Maverick closes this distance looking for a takedown but Murphy circles away.
Murphy throws a right and a left that Maverick avoids nicely.
Maverick avoids a punch combination nicely.

Murphy lands a left and a right that send Maverick crashing to the mat, dazed. Murphy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Maverick is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Maverick shoots in but Murphy avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seth Maverick. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maverick is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Murphy just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Maverick has gone limp and this one is over!
