Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Angel Suarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clubber LANE (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suarez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts LANE as he jumps to the side.
LANE tries to clinch up but Suarez circles away and keeps his distance.

and LANE counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Suarez is looking for a triangle but LANE pushes his legs off easily.
LANE must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

LANE decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
LANE goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
LANE throws a sloppy head kick and Suarez moves out of range easily.

Suarez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Clubber LANE seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

LANE shoots for a double leg takedown but Suarez sprawls well. He's pushed LANE's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

LANE stands up out of the half guard.
Suarez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Angel Suarez will probably get the nod.

Suarez seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Suarez is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for LANE!
LANE is squirming around, avoiding Suarez's attempts to control the action.

Suarez is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But LANE has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from LANE!

Suarez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but LANE can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Suarez wants to sweep here but LANE controlling him for the moment.

Suarez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. LANE stacks Suarez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by LANE!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Suarez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, LANE asserts his dominance and retains side control.

LANE decides to stand up, so the ref orders Suarez to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Angel Suarez.
