The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trussell slips a jab from Wise.
Wise scores with a kick to the midsection.
Wise lands a really nice looking cross but Trussell seems unphased.
Trussell misses with a series of wild punches.
Dmitry Wise seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wise attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Wise fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wise shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Trussell but Trussell pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Trussell counters with a three punch combo that has Wise backing up. Wise nods at Trussell to acknowledge the strikes.
Wise throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Trussell sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Trussell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Trussell counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

It looks like Dmitry Wise has been cut.
Trussell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Duncan Trussell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wise throws a lazy right hand but Trussell sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Wise takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Trussell uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wise.

Wise throws a nice looking combination but Trussell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wise looks to land a left hand but Trussell moved out of range nicely.
Wise slips a straight right by Trussell.
Trussell connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Wise momentarily.
Trussell misses with a two punch combination.
Trussell lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Wise throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Trussell scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Trussell misses with a head kick.
Wise throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Trussell counters with a two punch combo.

Wise is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Trussell.

Wise throws a leg kick but Trussell moved away.
Trussell lands with a thumping leg kick.

Wise is breathing heavily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Trussell.
Wise throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Trussell counters with a head kick that drops Wise!

Wise is rocked!
Wise avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Oh Wise is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Trussell pushing down on Wise's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Wise seems to have got his legs back now.

Trussell stands up out of the half guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Wise takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Wise throws a leg kick
and Trussell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Trussell scores with a push kick.
Trussell lands with a kick to the ribs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A jab-cross combination lands for Trussell and sends Wise crashing to the mat! Trussell follows him down to the mat - Wise regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Trussell decides to stand and escape the position.
Whack! Trussell lands a heavy head kick that drops Wise. The ref tackles Trussell to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Wise was done.
