PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Twisted Fister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert thaiswed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Twisted Fister!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robert thaiswed!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fister closes this distance looking for a takedown but thaiswed circles away.
Fister fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
thaiswed stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Twisted Fister. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fister tries for a takedown but thaiswed sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fister tries to bum rush thaiswed with a series of wild strikes but thaiswed uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fister will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

thaiswed throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Fister stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. thaiswed follows into mount!

Fister is rocked!

It looks like Twisted Fister has been cut.
Fister tries to reverse the position but thaiswed maintains control.
Oh Fister is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fister is working hard here to advance position.
Fister seems to have got his legs back now.
thaiswed controlling the pace for now.
Fister can't escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
thaiswed punishing his opponent with strikes.
Fister tries to get back to half guard but can't.
A nice elbow there by thaiswed.
Fister stops thaiswed from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
thaiswed looking to control but Fister is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Fister has given up his back here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
thaiswed is hanging on to Fister's back as he tries to escape.

thaiswed is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Fister has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but thaiswed has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Fister taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. thaiswed doesn't care though - he's delighted!
