Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Konrad Kristofferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duey Doubleg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Konrad Kristofferson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Duey Doubleg!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kristofferson cracks Doubleg with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Doubleg misses with a body kick.
Doubleg tries to move into range but Kristofferson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Doubleg fails with the takedown
and Kristofferson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kristofferson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Kristofferson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kristofferson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Doubleg.
Kristofferson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Doubleg.
Doubleg takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Doubleg shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Doubleg was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Doubleg thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Doubleg has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Doubleg sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kristofferson's guard.
Doubleg seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kristofferson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Doubleg wants to control from the top but Kristofferson keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kristofferson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

That was a close round but I would say that Konrad Kristofferson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Doubleg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kristofferson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Doubleg somewhat.
Kristofferson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Doubleg throws a jab but it's blocked by Kristofferson.
Kristofferson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Doubleg's head.
Kristofferson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Kristofferson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Kristofferson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kristofferson wants it to stay on the feet.
Kristofferson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Doubleg. Doubleg circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Doubleg shoots in looking for a takedown but Kristofferson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Doubleg's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Doubleg's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kristofferson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Doubleg scrambles back to his feet.
Kristofferson throws a right hand that Doubleg ducks under and follows up with a left that Doubleg also avoids with ease.
A jab lands there for Kristofferson.
Kristofferson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Doubleg doesn't seem bothered though.
Kristofferson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Kristofferson looks to land a combination. Doubleg sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Doubleg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Doubleg is still on wobbly legs! Can Kristofferson finish him?
Doubleg moves forwards but Kristofferson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kristofferson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Doubleg looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kristofferson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kristofferson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kristofferson is looking to take a break and control but Doubleg is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Kristofferson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Doubleg is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well Kristofferson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
