Baumgardner comes to the ring accompanied by COWBOYS FROM HELL. Nomo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Down Rodeo. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nomo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Baumgardner pinned against the cage. Baumgardner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nomo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nomo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Baumgardner has taken the fight to the clinch.

Baumgardner pulls guard successfully.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Nomo tries to free his leg and advance position but Baumgardner is retaining full guard.
Baumgardner lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Nomo!

Baumgardner is working for a guillotine from mount but Nomo frees his head quite easily.
Baumgardner lands a big shot there that rocks Nomo but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

It looks like Hideo Nomo has been cut.
Baumgardner breaks from Nomo's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Baumgardner has hold of Nomo's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nomo manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Baumgardner is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Nomo is trying to escape the mount.
Baumgardner is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Nomo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That has opened up Hideo Nomo's cut even more.
Nomo looks gassed!

Nomo is trying desperately to improve position.
Baumgardner in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Baumgardner forces the positional change into back control.

Baumgardner has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Nomo is defending well but eventually Baumgardner manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Nomo has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
