The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kimura dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Kimura's head and hops out.
Johnson misses with the combination.

Kimura shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Johnson is trying to defend but Kimura finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Johnson wants to improve his position but Kimura is controlling well.
Kimura tries to pass the half guard into mount. Johnson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Kimura looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Kimura works his foot free and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kimura wants to control the pace but Johnson is squirming around nicely.
Kimura should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Johnson tries to hold on but Kimura postures up.
