Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alex Hadjiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximo Katakutan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katakutan looks to land a combination but Hadjiev avoids it well.
Hadjiev shoots in and drives through. Katakutan sprawls well.
Hadjiev stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Katakutan.
Hadjiev has his takedown stuffed
and Katakutan counters with a stiff right hand.
Katakutan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Katakutan lands a right hook to the body.
Katakutan scores with a jab. Hadjiev acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Hadjiev shoots in for a takedown but Katakutan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Hadjiev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hadjiev tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Hadjiev takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Katakutan lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Alex Hadjiev has been cut.
Hadjiev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Katakutan tries to avoid it but Hadjiev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Katakutan to the ground. Katakutan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Maximo Katakutan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hadjiev takes a kick to the side of the head.

and Katakutan counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Hadjiev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Katakutan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hadjiev somewhat.

Hadjiev moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Nice takedown defense from Katakutan. No joy for Hadjiev on that attempt.
Katakutan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hadjiev takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Oh Hadjiev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Katakutan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Hadjiev counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Katakutan tries to kick Hadjiev off but Hadjiev keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hadjiev seems to have got his legs back now.
Katakutan trying to hold on to Hadjiev's head to control him but Hadjiev postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Katakutan kicks off Hadjiev and gets to his feet.
Hadjiev ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Katakutan moves away.

Katakutan misses with a wild combination.
Katakutan throws a right hand that Hadjiev ducks under and follows up with a left that Hadjiev also avoids with ease.
Katakutan thumps Hadjiev with a low kick.
Katakutan misses with the combination.
Katakutan cracks the inside of Hadjiev's front leg.
Hadjiev avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hadjiev is trying hard to land a takedown here. Katakutan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

No joy there for Katakutan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hadjiev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Katakutan but Katakutan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Katakutan slips a straight right by Hadjiev.
Hadjiev shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Katakutan as he jumps to the side.
Katakutan lands with a thumping leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Katakutan closes the distance and lands a one-two.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hadjiev has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Katakutan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Katakutan wants it to stay on the feet.
Katakutan throws a nice looking combination but Hadjiev bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Oooooh!!! Katakutan has knocked Hadjiev down with a huge combo! Katakutan steps away and waves a wobbly Hadjiev back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Alex Hadjiev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Katakutan counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Hadjiev! He's just covering up as Katakutan starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
